Mobile Test Automation Program brief
This is a test automation project and not a core (application) development project
We need developers who have expertise in Android who can write automation scripts in Java/Kotlin, RxJava ( Mandate skill)
Candidates need to have good debugging skills
Candidates should be open to working on test automation
Candidates should be ready to learn new technologies & work on enhancements to our automation framework
As this is a test automation program, it involves building automation to reduce manual test efforts - working with manual testers to understand test flow & test environment details will be common
Android SDET Requirements:
Should have minimum 4-8 years of experience of Android Development
Candidate should have RxJava skill set.
Strong knowledge of Android SDK, different versions of Android, and how to deal with different screen sizes
Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services
Strong knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices
Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning
Ability to design applications around natural user interfaces, such as “touch”
Familiarity with the use of additional sensors, such as gyroscopes and accelerometers
Knowledge of the open-source Android ecosystem and the libraries available for common tasks
Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements
Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications
Bonus:
Knowledgeable in UI Automator and Espresso
Experience in automation testing
Python and GO knowledge is an added advantage
